The manager appeared very friendly. When he knew we wouldn't book any tours through the hotel the friendliness disappeared. After a long day on the bicycle we two women wanted to get a massage. The hotel offered massages so we decided to have one there. It was not possible for us to get the massage in the same room.
When we arrived in the two separate rooms the red lights should have tipped us of. Especially when the masseuse came in with a very revealing dress.
When they started it was immediately clear that they didn't have any professional massage skills. We were afraid that it would do more harm than good for example: hitting straight on the spine for 10 minutes. When they tried to touch our private parts we both walked out. After confronting the manager he tried to convince us that this was a normal Vietnamese massage.
From experience we know that is definitely not the case. It probably would have been a bit funny if it wasn't so sad. It was clear that the masseuses disliked it even more than we did. The rooms are decent and have all the standard things you would want air con, fan, fridge, en suite , but the best thing by far is the staff.
They are extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us, giving genuine advice on stuff with no attempt to convince us to spend more money with them. Breakfast is included and seemed to be basically all-you-can-eat from their restaurant, and was delicious.
