We're currently staying on level 3 of this hotel. Straight out of the elevator is a 'massage' service. Next to her, a room of skantily dressed young girls, sitting around waiting. And 10 'vip' rooms, each with a bed. You be the judge. A business style hotel with a formal air to it. Very comfortable. Stayed as part of an organized tour.
Stayed for 3 nights in a superior room. Rate was good, booked via a travel company in Ho Chi Minh City. The room was good, bathroom OK with a good shower. One let down was the breakfast which was not very enjoyable and not well replenished if you got there in the last hour of service. A good tourist class hotel for a few nights if you don't want to splash out on the top end of town.
I stayed in this hotel for one evening and it was clean and well appointed. The staff were pleasant. Can Tho was flooded the afternoon I arrived and the the staff were wonderful in helping me. Very satisfactory. Booked this hotel thru Ms Ha of Vietland travel. Central location. After 4 days of cycling in the Mekong Delta, this clean, modern hotel was much appreciated. Located in the thick of things -- easy walk to restaurants and the main tourist market. Unfortunately Can Tho appears geared too much toward tourists, so I would recommend skipping it on a tour of the Mekong Delta.
Busloads of tourists emptying out into huge Western style restaurants. Not my thing. The hotel has fairly large modern rooms and bathrooms. Strangely, the shower curtain was too small, so a very large lake formed whenever we took a shower. Strange artwork depicting a volcano that was abstractly also a woman with long hair.
Above the artwork was a tiny fixture that alternated blue and red pulsating light. Some sort of aphrodesiac I was told. Complimentary 2 bottles of water was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet is typical tourist hotel style with something for every taste. If you have to stay in Can Tho, this is a great choice.
