The hotel is not bad and the bedrooms are ok They even provide condoms in the rooms. Breakfast available but vietnamese and staff cooking and serving while smoking They do not give anything free even the water and no cleaning and changing linens and towels or replenish the fridge bar unless protesting. Resturant is ok, cut smoking being allowed in Dining room , not only by guests but teh cook also is a Big Minus.
I stayed at Vinh for a go between when travelling north on a motorbike. Firstly I was very impressed with the standard and cleanliness of the room. It was very nice. Also there is secure garage parking which was great and the staff , although very limited English, were attentive and helpful.
It is located just off a main road so it's very noisy. Also the staff were up and down the corridors til quite late which was noisy. Breakfast was fine, however I didnt get a choice. The hotel itself is really new and very good value for money. Everything was nice and clean and there are plenty of amenities.
The only letdown for us was that there are several karaoke booths on the top floor, floor 10 , that are very popular and can be used whenever. We were there for two nights. On our first night they were used till around in the morning and only till about 11pm the second night.
We could hear them pretty clearly from floor 5 so it can be quite noisy. However, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in so, if you don't mind a bit of karaoke, you can still get a decent nights sleep. Vinh isn't a very touristy destination so, understandably, nobody speaks much English, if any. Since our Vietnamese is also not up to scratch a google translate app can come in fairly handy when staying here. Big hotel with a lot of rooms and karaoke at last floor, that can be loud up to 11 PM.
