I went to Maracaibo to spend time with my family there, I was traveling with my wife and my daughter who was 6 month old. I had made my reservation three months before our arrival in one suite next to the pool area and we were going to stay for 3 weeks.
When we arrive we did the check inn and as we were walking to our room I saw a big stage on top of the pool As soon as I saw that I went back to the front desk to complain about the party right next to my room and I had a baby They sold again the room that I had pay in advance three month ago to another person and the excuse was because I left the room they assigned to somebody else I was also having a reception in the Hotel during my stay for the baptism of my daughter..
I invited people from overseas that does not speak English neither understand the black market exchange currency in Venezuela, one night one of the guest told me that they called for room service and the waiter that brought the food told them that they had to pay the food in US DOLLARS CASH!!!!!
This situation was also notified to the manager for what of course we did not receive an explanation nor the reason, her answer was we are going to investigate!!!! The gym was never open because of the holidays it was in Christmas season The suites in the pool area are used most of the times for parties that usually last until next day, people drinking outside the rooms with loud music That was the worst stay in a hotel that we have experience ever If you are traveling with family stay away of the pool area because that is a party area More.
I stayed here with some friends as we had a wedding that coincided with Feria de la Chinita. We selected the hotel because we heard it had been renovated and it was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again this june, we have another wedding in the city. Beautiful pool, great continental breakfast complimentary , the hall where the wedding was celebrated was beautiful, the Mocan. The rooms were as good as I had heard they were after the renovation. Comfortable bed, ample bathroom.
