Our member Travistouchdown come home from Cuba today, after been there two months. He inform me that , there are new rules for some all inclusive hotels. Only Cubans married to a foreigner are now allowed to check in together. I don't know if other all inclusive hotels in Cuba has the same policy , to not let you check and stay with a Cuban girlfriend.
Maybe it is the same rules if you have Cuban boyfriend. I don't know why they have start with this new regulations , but I guess it is because so many charter tourist from other country , has complained a lot about be disturbed by older foreigners staying in the hotel with younger Cuban girlfriends.
I have read reviews on Trip Advisor where many complain and found it disturbing with see foreigners with what they called Cuban prostitute And there has been stories where smaller kids has seen foreigners and Cubans kiss and do other stuff, that has disturb the charter tourists and their family.
Travistouchdown also complain about that the Viazul buses from Havana to Santiago de Cuba, had broken toilets, and it was locked.
The driver used it once to change cloths and then open it up a tourist in need. The same happen to me in my last travels in Cuba with Viazul, often was the toilet broken.
