There were prostitutes both outside and inside the hotel. When we finally got a room it only had 2 beds, there were 3 passengers on the booking , so they put up a temporary bed which was unsuitable for an adult male. There were only 2 towels for the 3 of us. The toilet seat was broken and the toilet door did not lock. During our stay we were too uncomfortable to use the bar at the top of the hotel aptly referred to as "The Escort Bar" due to the number of prostitutes.
When we went to the bar we were immediately approached by the girls. We found a local bar but again there were prostitutes - it appeared that the hotel was situated in a "red light district". As the hotel security was good you needed a room card to access the lifts, and there was a doorman at the entrance to the bar , the hotel must have knowingly allowed access for the girls. When we checked out at 4am I wanted When we checked out at 4am I wanted to relax and have a cigarette outside before getting a taxi.
Due to the number of girls outside about 20 or more , I felt so uneasy I just hailed a taxi immediately. It was a trip of a lifetime for myself and my friends which was spoiled by the accommodation. The hotel has a good central city location but the entrance was difficult to find and there was no loading area for the luggage.
Our room was adequate but the carpet was disgusting and should have been replaced before any more guests were assigned to this room. The shower flooded each time we used it. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful but many were trainees and really had no idea what they were doing and no authority to do much of anything.
The included breakfast was bizarre and underwhelming. There's a lot of room for improvement there. Our beautiful sea view from the room was spoiled by very dirty windows. I don't think that we would return to this hotel with so many other options available in Abu Dhabi in the same general location.
