Perfect treatment after I had a very enjoyable time at Kelebek spa after hiking in the Red and Rose valleys. The soapy massage was wonderful- I was covered in frothy bubbles and then given one of the best massages I have ever had- very strong but not painful. Every minute was perfect. Pros: - easy location in Goreme - beautiful clean facilities - spa - soapy massage!!! Cons: - not gender separated so it is possible for men and when to see each other during transitions while wearing towels - I would have liked the scrub portion to be a bit more rough I would highly recommend a stop to this Spa!
I stayed in many Hotel in Cappadocia that Kelebek Hotel is the most coordinated and relaxing hotel together with all working people. I can't really speak to the authenticity, because I don't have much to compare with, but I had a wonderful scrub, peel, and massage.
It was much less expensive than in Istanbul and was quite relaxing. Plus, nothing beats being able to go back to your hotel room after a massage for a nice nap! It was a great experience, but I'm not sure how authentic based on some other user reviews.
We stayed at the Kelebk hotel for 4 nights, the hotel stay is nothing short of spectacular. Therefore, we were convinced that the Hamam would be a similar experience and was looking forward to it as relaxing end to our vacation. I don't think they were talking ill of us, but it certainly makes you wonder. Plus I find it rude to talk in another language when in the presence of people who clearly doesn't understand it though I'm guilty of this also, so maybe I shouldn't be so judgmental.
It seemed to me that they were debating when to end the service and it made the entire experience seem extremely hasty and rushed, it was anything but relaxing. Not only was it obvious people were talking outside in the changing area which took away from whatever tranquility was left of this mediocre experience , but at one point during the service, someone walked through the hamam, into the WC, and took a shower, then walked back out through the hamam before exiting.
