Hotels Deals I live in Southeast Asia and have booked hundreds of hotels in this region. I have spent many hours researching hotel prices to get the best deal and I always end up booking through Agoda. Their rates are far lower compared to other companies or booking directly with hotels. Give them a try! I have never really been a nightlife person, but for many visitors to Hat Yai it is the number one attraction and this particular page attracts far more visitors than any other.
As sophisticated as it was, sadly, the No Bra Bar has now closed We all know that the term 'Nightlife' in Thailand is a euphemism for sexual activities and that when people search for 'Nightlife in Thailand' they aren't interested in a night out at the opera or the ballet. My aim with this website has always been to try to give visitors the information they want and for many years the information on this page was geared towards the seedier side of Hat Yai's nightlife scene. I am making this update at the end of and there have been enormous changes during the last few years that I need to explain.
Many of the places I previously provided information about have now closed and Hat Yai is now a very different place to the Hat Yai I first visited in Chaophya 4 in When I first arrived in town there were many establishments catering to the needs of visiting gentlemen and it was all very open with nothing hidden away. The first noticeable change came a few years later when posters of scantily clad females were removed from the outside of the buildings.
Obviously, the intention was to make the industry lower key. The same place in Prior to this it was very clear what went on inside, but after the posters were removed it wasn't quite so obvious.
I never really went to these places, not because I'm prudish or anything, but because commercial sex never really appealed to me and I preferred having girlfriends in Hat Yai. Occasionally, male friends would visit and I would show them the Hat Yai nightlife, but I never visited these places regularly or alone. I roam around Hat Yai quite a lot getting information for this website and because my conversational Thai is fairly fluent it's easy for me to get information about all sorts of things so I wrote about activities that I didn't participate in myself.
