The band played the 'Reading Festival', in the 80's and that performance was a huge success for the band, and more gigs and festivals went ahead, but the band found it hard to get a record deal at the start for some strange reason.
The band did released 3 live albums, and in later years the band released a session recordings 'Studio Sessions' in and finally but sadly without Phil released their 1st studio album 'Hit the Ground ' in This is the 1st time I had ever seen the band live and to be honest they were really good, considering Laurence and the boys are carrying the name on in memory of Phil, and I also have to say that Mike certainly carries the vibe of Phil vocal style and he really is a good strong singer, and you have to be if you're going to take the lead roll after Phil Lynott.
As I'd not really heard any of the band's music before besides the live Reading show I knew the band were going to deliver some fine Hard Rock that captured the Celtic Irish vibe, and the band certainly did that. I really like the way they have that old school Hard Rock vibe with the vibe of Thin Lizzy, that went down well with the crowd and I have to say I really enjoyed them as I have never seen Thin Lizzy live.
A great band and good to see them still playing classic Hard Rock at it's best. Next up was headliners ' FM ', this band have been around since consisting of ex members of Wildlife and Samson, who joined up together and formed FM.
That was a huge success back in the day and saw the band having some MTV success with such songs like 'That Girl', 'Frozen Heart' and also saw the band having some successful touring as opening acts for such bands as Europe, Gary Moore, Tina Turner, Magnum and many more acts.
