Friendly staff helped us in many ways whith travel arrangements. The room was simple, bathroom needed a repair, but it was value for money. Fernandos bar has nice atmosphere and delicious in real pizza oven baked pizzas.
Nice place to stay on Uppevelli, directly on the beach, which is clean and very relaxing. Rooms are with a sea view, bathrooms are little bit old, but location is great. Fernandos bar has a good menu, also home made pizza, soft drinks, also monkey lives here The price is right and we have a great time in Aqua Hotel. Staying there in november Very roud and ugly management,no wellcome for guest,while having meals closing the restaurant,10pm shut down wifi, Food is not up to the standerd,than the guest they concern about money,mineral water issuing afte paying money only, Manegement do not know how to speek the guest, Driver accomodation is like a cow shed,not cleean ,dirty bath rooms, Ugliest hotel i ever been for last four years of my service in tourism industry I advise all the tour guids and shaufer guid to not direct guest to this place,.
I remember your so called travel agency! We at aqua do not put up with conartists who book hotels and charge the customer treble the amount then asks the hotel to lie! As we refused you too your anger through trip advisor! Sad indeed! We helped you out by you arriving at 2 am! Then you asked us for commission on your customers food bill! Then you asked us if there are prostitutes near by. We are not going to put up with drivers who pretend to be licences tour guides and rip off tourists!
You are the kinda "tour Oparators"who ruin Srilanka! Takes Commission every possible hotel,restaurants , souvernier shops etc! It is hard to find something positive about this place: Rooms: extremely tired, stinking, dark, full of mosquitos flying to you at night through the holes in mosguito net. Disgusting bathroom. Not worth money you have to pay. Food and drinks: quite expensive and nothing special.
However, that counts for most of the Uppuveli beach restaurants. Service: slow, unattentive to customers, bad english, not able to provide relevant information Beach: full of sand flies.
