Baker and I missed last week and he is scolding me for forgetting. There was a time when my whole camera card was full of Baker shots. And then came Percy, our new grandson. I tried to make up for it this week. These two! Percy makes sure Baker gets enough treats, lots of pets and kisses, and some playtime outside. He seems to know the way to not only Grandma's heart but also the heart of a dog.
Baker is always right there beside me when Percy comes to visit. He allows Percy to pull his tail and grab his ears, and often curls up on the blanket I throw on the floor, and just watches us. I spend most of the day on the floor watching Percy, and miss all the news. That is a good thing. It is his second birthday, in dogs years this is He sleeps in, stays up late and runs amok.
He is perfect. Just as I knew they would, Percy and Baker have become good friends. Baker follows us around and is right there if Percy is playing on his blanket or being held by Gramma. He has to restrain himself so much, as he want to play with Percy's toys, but also knows they are not his. Percy giggles at him and reaches for him, sometimes pulling a handful of hair off his back.
Baker does not mind, is patient and kind and a wee bit jealous! Baker still does not quite know what to make of Percy. He is super curious, and also very jealous. But often will come and sit by me now when I am holding him. I was surprised when he jumped up on this chair and settled down. Baker had such a hard time when our grandson was born. He was so jealous and moody, I actually took him to the vet for depression.
Today, I am happy to say, they are fast friends. The title would be renamed My Experience as of issue 19, and continue for 4 more issues. It was then renamed again as Judy Canova for issues 23 and My relatives once lived in New Cross. It was first known as the New Cross Super Cinema with an original seating capacity of 2, and was an imposing building located on the main New Cross Road at the corner of Clifton Rise. Designed for pictures and variety, the stage was 30 feet deep and there were three dresssing rooms.
