Travel Forums Europe Need help for travel in Slovenia. I'd like to see all corners of this beautiful country, especially lakes and seaside. I want spend few day on a beach, see Bled and other interesting places. Thanks a million for these information!!! I'm going to see it more detail and create plan for travelling. Will I be able to ask you about some detail a bit later? One more Slovenian girl here Maja already wrote some tourist destinations and I agree with her that Ljubljana is probably the best place for staying.
I think 14 days in Slovenia is enough time to see also some less tourist spots if you are interested and you make good schedule especially in the east part of country not just usual places in the west - Bled, Portoroz, Postojna Slovenia is composed of 4 main naturalgeographic units - Alps, Dinarides, Submediterranean part and Pannonian part.
From Pannonian eatsern part there is nothing It's sad but a lot of Slovenian people often see this part of country as far away, less developed region But on the other hand this places are interesting for Britons who are really away and despite of mentioned fact they are buying houses.
In Prekmurje typical Pannonian landscape, meaning over river Mura you can visit spa wellness - there is a great number of springs of thermal and healing water, taste tradicional cake called "Prekmurska gibanica" in translation over Mura moving cake A little bit wester in Slovenske gorice region you can go up to Jeruzalem beautiful scenery or on some other hill where vineyards are located, visit Maribor the second biggest town in Slovenia , Rogaska Slatina nice spa and congress resort.
