The city of Maribor is a picturesque town under the slopes of Pohorje. It is best known for its oldest vines in the world and photogenic views of the city. However, interesting city facilities told through local town stories are its most important capital. In the series of Maribor stories by the town storyteller Vid Kmetic, this time we present to you the former Maribor brothels. Usually relegated to the social fringes, despised and denied, but a constant companion of human society for thousands of years, called the oldest craft - prostitution , is already mentioned in the Bible.

They were equipped with bathtubs for two and special rooms for "rest". They were also available young employees which, upon request, "massaged" visitors or otherwise took care of their physical needs.
