Details of the form of exploitation: The Victims were primarily used for prostitution either in hotels, apartments or near a road. Modus operandi of the trafficker: The Defendant 1 enticed the Victims to work as prostitutes directly or under the guise of providing employment as barmaids. Relationship between the defendant and victims: There were no special relationships between them.
Criminal justice response: The court sentenced the Defendants as described in detail above. Ability of the victims to participate in court proceedings: The Victims testified during the preliminary hearing and the main trial. This case was directly brought before the Bratislava Regional Court as a first instance court, not before any of the district courts.
