When I was very young, we went to Blackpool, and my father and my two siblings went for a flight in a DH My mother refused to go and refused to let her 'baby' go either.
Forward 65 years and I was at Duxford with my son - and they were giving rides in the 'aircraft that I never flew in'. I bought two tickets without consulting my son - considering that he is a frequent flyer - however he was terrified throughout the trip - I have never asked why - maybe because it wasn't a proper airline?
Probably an idea to clarify this a bit. I could list types from my logbooks when working, have another list of types from my gliding and private flying, another very short list from ATC air experience flights, and yet another list which would be hopelessly inaccurate from types where I've been a passenger as SLF I've undoubtedly forgotten, or never noted, those. So, do we just list types from work? I'm not sure there's much point in trying to note types where one was SLF.
How many people actually take much notice of what they happen to be riding in to get from one place to another? Stick time on 44 types, P1 on 20 and innumerable passenger flights. Some of the most exotic or memorable: Dragon Rapide Dominie - both kinds.
