Me and my boyfriend have just booked a holiday to quarteria in July for a week, it is our first holiday away together and we are just looking to chill out, take a few walks and day trips and to generally relax. Can anyone recommend things to do, places to visit and cheap but good!
Ah ok thank you, could you recommend anywhere to eat on a night? Bearing in mind we are in early 20s so don't want anything really really expensive! There are several good places near the fish market and along the seafront generally. Some of the latter are a bit touristy and best avoided if cash is tight. Hope this helps, have a fab time, we are back in 3 weeks time and counting down the days!! This bar 'behind Dom Jose Hotel' sounds good - anyone know the name?
She has an amazing voice. The beach at the end of the promenade is lovely, take a picnic as no beach bar. Visit Albufeira as beach and old streets are lovely. We didn't find much to do in Quarteria but was a good base and weather great!
Things to do: www. Quarteira will be full of life in July. Besides foreign tourists it's also popular with nationals. If you walk all the way to the end of the 2 km. In Quarteira old town, right up the hill from the fish market, and on a side street is the VERY Portuguese restaurant called 'Piri Piri' - very cheap, food exceptional, eccentric waiters - no menu - no bill, just a quoted price that will astonish!
