Contact Admin. The hotel itself was surprisingly good value for money, decent rooms, good sized bathrooms we had connecting rooms for the children. The pool area was good, the kids loved it. We drove down to mestre in the evening 20mins and got the train over to Venice beautiful. When we drove back we noticed that every drive way had a prostitute or 2 in it, some half dressed or bending over to show their assets!!!
I rang and was told not to worry they had opened the safe and the documents, passports and cash were there, phew! Then it all went wrong, i rang back to confirm using DHL and was told no money was there The staff were rude, basically accused us of lying saying there was no money in the safe. We asked to see the manager and they said he was off duty, we said we would like to see him and to call the police.
At no point were we offered a seat or a drink, the manager listened to us and told us no money was there, we said that he had a major security issue as if the money wasnt there when they opened the safe then someone had accessed our room when we were out of it.
Basically it was our word against theirs. In my 50yrs i have never seen or heard such bad customer service. I have never made an insurance claim. We reported the incident to the police in garda we were not going to try n find a police station on sat night in preganziol full of prostitutes!
Dear Madam Elizabeth Mirza, as I mentioned during our meeting at the hotel, none of my employees would have soiled their jobs subtracting money kept in a safe.
