San Carlos police said they shut down a prostitution business Monday that operated out of a Laurel Street nail care salon. Store employee Jenny Tran, 49, of San Jose, offered a sex act in exchange for money to an undercover officer who had entered the store about 11 a. Monday, police said. She was arrested and charged with prostitution and possession of a significant amount of cocaine, Robbins said.
Robbins said he thinks Tran owns the store, and that no other employee was arrested. Police said they will continue to investigate whether to arrest anyone else at the business.
