As frequent travelers to various Panama Pacific Coast locales, as a family we decided to give this oft-ignored corner of Panama a try. In the process, we found Carlos's property and chose to book it with just two days notice.
We were extremely happy with our stay. Not only is the location great, but so was the hosting. We really enjoyed fun and enlightening conversations with Carlos, ranging from his travels to Chile and Ukraine, to his knowledge of Arabic verb tenses, property prices in Medellin Colombia , and the use of seaweed as fertilizer. This place reminded me so much of Borges's Aleph. In short, Carlos is a world-class host, a true citizen of the world, and certainly a very welcoming and interesting person with whom to share quality time and a beautiful beach location.
We had an amazing time at carlos', we stayed in the Caribbean suite which was lovely and clean and has a nice breeze at night, always pleasant! Carlos is a very generous, wordly man and a great host, we were well looked after, he also gave us the chance to taste local food and drink. The property is private and peaceful, just lush with an amazing view and great beach. Particularly enjoyed the amazing sunsets and Carlos's cocktails!
It couldn't be in a more beautiful location. We enjoyed walking along the sea, snorkeling when the water was calm , and just admiring the view. ISHQ is a cozy place with lovely decor and ambiance. Carlos is a welcoming and friendly host who provides excellent service.
We had a lot of fun just hanging out and relaxing. The dogs are very friendly, too! The guest kitchen worked well to cook dinner. Carlos is always very hospitable and makes you feel special. The house is in an amazing location with degree ocean views. He has a private garden where we saw toucans and iguanas. The sea you can enjoy all day - it is quite splendid Excellent host and first class service. Definitely loved Carlos' beautiful and cozy beach home. We loved relaxing on the hammocks with a book.
