My wife and I are planning a trip to Cancun for late November. We've been to MX before, but not Cancun and I'm hoping some of you travel sages can offer us advice on where to stay? We prefer an adults only star resort with a sexy vibe and yet class and sophistication. We are NOT swingers or nudists although my wife does wear extremely skimpy g-string bikinis and occasionally goes topless ; but we are far from uptight and don't mind a sexy atmosphere as long as it's not sleazy. We would prefer a place that has folks like us: early to mid thirties, successful, attractive, funky and fun, sexy yet classy.
Does such a place exist? I guess what we are looking for is something like the W, except at the beach. Hotel quality and service is very important to us and price is no object.
Please help us decide! It seems quite nice and the reviews we have read are great. How is the crowd there? We have also considered ME Cancun. We like the house music vibe and style more our scene , but have read mixed reviews on the service and quality. Tempatations Resort looks interesting, in that it seems open minded and very adult, but again concerned with the overall quality of the place.
We have read a bit about the Desire Resort which sounds interesting. Have read the crowds can be older, which is NOT what we want. I have stayed twice at LeBlanc and it is an excellent resort but not at all the vibe you are looking for. In April, we stayed just down the beach from Desire and walked the beach often. Most were nude and I would consider the age range very mixed, with most in their 30s and 40s. It looked nice enough but we did not check out the facilities or rooms.
The resorts that come immediately to mind are not in Mexico and you did not indicate being open to other options. Both classy with nude beaches and GLN has a full nude side rooms, pool, cafe, swim up bar. My husband worked at Desire, and your impressions of the place seemed in line with what he shared with me. He did say that most seemed to be in their 40s and 50s with couples in their 20s and 30s now and again. And yes, it's very open Doesn't seem to the the "sexy" vibe that you're looking for, but based on his sometimes endless descriptions, people publicly rutting like animals all day and everywhere.
