That seems to be the place to go for soaplands in Fukuoka. So near the station too. I went to Fukuoka in and actually walked through the area near Gion station quite a few times.
There's a main road that runs through it and I used that main road to get to various restaurants further on and other area's of interest. That 'Island' in the middle of the canal seems to be covered in 'adult' establishments.
