Contact Admin. The main street has lots of nice restaurants, stores and whatnot. The side streets are where the love hotels, soaplands, and other questionable businesses are INteresting for a walk - especially in the early evening. Walked around for a few hours and unless you want to see a few brooms or flowers or napkins for sale - dont waste your time.
It is off the main tourist routes, and it is modest, but that is its charm. It is for ordinary folk, with limited means, so you will find bargains here, like a nice little souvenir shop, where the owner speaks English, and a great little second hand clothes shop. Someone has spent money on giving the area a face-lift, so there are some nice little pieces of street furniture, like a clock with a little man winding it up, some nice street lights and a big gate on the side facing Kannai Station.
