It was a massive demonstration today across Israel to protest violence against women. Twenty four women this year have been killed in some form of domestic violence. And 24 is 24 too many. Progress in the Knesset! A unanimous vote in the first reading of the bill to criminalize prostitution consumers. Two more readings to pass and it's law.
Unfortunately human trafficking is on the rise again in Israel. This network operated a brothel here in Haifa. Patty and Noga at the annual march in Tel Aviv. It started 3 years ago after a young woman named Jessica killed herself in a brothel. The march continues until the law changes in Israel to criminalize the consumers of prostitution.
