The hotel is perfectly comfortable and decent: clean and well-appointed rooms. Two girls arrived at my room with high stiletto heels, no massage bed, and a basket of lube and tissues. Hugely embarrassing, as clearly they were not there for what we had requested. When speaking to the hotel manager he seemed to be completely carefree about this and we saw the girls wandering around the hotel for the rest of the day. Breakfast had more than you could possibly want in variety. Clean room. Hot shower and very clean with comfy bed.
Freindly staff. I did not go in the pool, but it was a nice quiet place to practice my yoga. The room was clean and quiet. The evening meal was very average with ultra slow service.
This hotel is almost "dry" with just Bintang beer to satisfy any need for alcohol. Breakfast was limited for a westerner, not sure about the hygiene of the open air egg cooking station. Thanks again for choosing Swiss-Belhotel Sorong and we hope to see you again in the future. Stayed in Swiss-Belhotel Sorong from 9 to 10 Dec. For a hotel to charge USD 70 per night in Sorong and not able to enjoy a warm shower was regrettable. Whenever I turned on the warm water, it was brown.
Informed the reception about it and was told that their engineers were fixing the problem. The reception called me about 1 hour later after the problem was notified, they told me to keep the warm water running to flushed out the brown water. After more than 30 mins of flushing, the water went from light brown to a very dark brown water. A new room was given to me but the brown water problem persisted. I did not take a shower at all during my one night stay there.
