This place is so beautiful. Chati was very helpful and offered great advice on places to visit and things to do. The breakfast was delicious and the view was amazing!! We will definitely be back!! Merci encore Ofelia. We really enjoyed staying at Colibri and our time exploring Lake Atitlan! The room was so nice and clean- my friend and I found it very relaxing! We utilized the kitchen in the evening and breakfast was a nice amenity.
One suggestion that would have improved our stay would be better communication and coordination between host and person on site since we had to wait for responses and to check-in when we arrived! It was a great spot to stay for a night in Panajachel! I never met my host as they live somewhere else and her personnel does not stay there either, so if you need anything a cup, spoon, etc there is no one there to help you as the kitchen is locked.
You need to have a phone to communicate with them. It is a long walk to the center of town, although you can get a tuk tuk easily. The room is nice, the water heater did not work for me during my stay. This is a lovely place to stay, but a few notes to keep in mind. The Believe room is on the second floor and the stairs are a bit steep and with high railings so not the best for small children. Also, because the house is made of wood, you can hear everything from the room downstairs as if it was inside and the sounds from outside.
There is a church a few houses away that has night services with loud music and went on until about 9PM. They do provide earplugs, but if you are a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you. Charming location, good communication from host, a little removed from the center of Panajachel but easy to get around in tuk tuk or a short, safe walk. Bastante cercano a Panajachel de hecho. El personal siempre atento y cordial. Todo muy limpio y plenamente equipado.
