I was one of only two women in my major at my university graduation. I went directly into a field that was dominated by men. I am tall ish , loud, hard-headed, and a negative person by nature—critical, gossipy, and generally see the dark side of life. I have fought these feelings all my life.

In my 30s, after realizing that I was lonely on my journey, I made another important choice: I chose to call in community. I left my cookie cutter successful from the outside life and embraced friendships with a totally open heart. My real life began in my 30s.
