This is a dark place with very expensive drinks, which are collected and reign prostitutes, and the staff encourages them to rudeness. Musicians behave like owners of the hotel and dictate their terms to visitors. Normal people should not visit this overly-expensive bar with lotvratitelnoy atmosphere. Just came from there with a broken spirits. If you want a fairy tale place to stay, the Grandhotel Pupp is the place! Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel being located in Karlovy Vary triples the experience! I have various experiences from last couple years and it is always great and fantastic, always very excited coming back. Always the same great service, food, nice, friendly people and unique atmosphere which you can feel it everywhere in the hotel, it has just its special own "genius loci". I would highly recommend this hotel to families, business people and everybody who are looking for something highest quality and special.
We stayed 2 nigts in this hotel. Very bad for the money. Room without air condition. The smallest fitness I ever seen! Never again. A glorious old hotel that really takes you back in time. My first class room was beautiful and very large.
The downside is that the service from the parking valet to the front desk staff are less then friendly bordering on rude. It is evident that there is a serious lack of proper training for the staff. We had a private show arranged for our dinner with members of the Prague Theater performing Broadway tunes, but it was disrupted by the arguing of the staff back and forth. Couldn't believe it! The staff lead just stood there while all of this was going on. Again 5 star hotel with 2 star service.
For the prices paid, I could not believe the utter lack of proper service. This hotel was most promising in my Czech Republic trip. But at the end it turned to be a terrible memoir. Indeed that was not their fault.
