Contact Admin. We have travelled to many different resorts in different countries, and while at a resort in Varadero , third time in Cuba my Husband was propositioned by the Maids' Helper. I am deaply offended by this type of action, and will never go back. Has anyone else had this problem, and how should we have handled this?
My husband was afraid to report it while we were there, as we were not in a secure area. Oh for heaven sakes the staff at most of the hotels are being happy and flirting, heck it sure makes my day and puts some spring back into my chicken.
Heck go to the Dominican on the dance floor and you will have all kinds of grinding going on from both Men and Women and if you read more into it than anything other than dancing, well ya need to go out more. Some people just read more into a nice comment and make a mole out of a mountain hill. If you read more into it and can't have a good laugh then stay home and look at your four walls.
That reminds me of a time when I was staying at a low end resort in Varadero that was a couple blocks away from the beach, but had a beach bar, with a U shaped seating arrangement around the bar, room for about 25 folks to sit. One day I sat down at one end of the U and was sipping my drin, about 10 Cubans were also sitting around but no one near me. This Cuban woman, aged about 30 I guess I was 58 came from the beach and sat down right beside me. She turned to me saying something in Spanish I didnt understand and put her hand on my thigh.
I explain I didnt understand. For next half hour or so until she left she was saying something to the other Cubans who often laughed, would say something to me that I didnt understand , and would take her hand off or put it back on my thigh no caress or anything like that, just grabbing hold of it After 30 min or so, she said her goodbyes to all and got up and left.
