She has training in jazz, ballet, and modern which provide basic knowledge of movement and technique but her real passion is for social dancing. Her training in so many styles of dance gives her a solid foundation in the technique and art of social dance. Michael and Amy Shibasaki will be teaching the free beginner class. Their story began in when they met at a west coast swing dance and decided to become practice partners to improve their dancing. Along the way, Michael and Amy fell in love and got married.
Now they want to share our love of the dance with you โ by offering you a friendly, relaxed learning environment to get you comfortable enough to have lots of fun on the dance floor. Both currently compete several times a year at Advanced and Intermediate level and continuously look to upgrade and hone their teaching and dance skills.
Doors open at pm, lessons go from , and the dance lasts from pm. We will be at the picnic area in the southwestern area of the park , east of the southern tip of the lake. Because of anticipated fire bans like we had last summer , we will be having a Pizza Party again! The pizza will be all-you-can-eat and will include vegetarian options. The Swing Club will also be providing side dishes, desserts, and beverages.
