We stayed here for 2 nights. We had booked the room in advance and when we arrived we were given a room with half the ceiling missing and wires hanging from the wall. The corridor of rooms are open with pretty girls sitting on beds and men coming and going regularly.
No one!!!!! Speaks a word of English and to top it all off we were greeted by a huge cockroach in our room last night. Stay by the waterfront much better!!! New guesthouse which is really clean and a bargain. Room was the cleanest we have had since we have been traveling. Staff don't speak much english but are friendly.
Just up the road from fat sams and a 5 minute walk to the waterfront. The Thann Tay is a new guesthouse near the roundabout in the centre of Koh Kong.
It is on the road going away from the river metres past Fat Sam's restaurant. We stayed there for a couple of nights when my daughter and her children came to visit. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are very clean and airy.
Flat screen TV and very good hot showers in fan rooms for 7 or 8 dollars a night. They also have aircon rooms for 12 to 15 dollars a night. They have an elevator, the only one in town. Koh Kong.
