Nice Beach Bungalows is a lovely, small place and very cheap and cheerful in comparison to other places on the island. The bungalows are actually small huts which are waterproof and come with a mattress, mosquito net and towel. The host is very sweet and happy to help but is not very knowledgeable about the island or what you can do may be due to a language barrier too. The food served in the restaurant was quite nice and good value.
Definitely not appropriate for children but may be good for couples who solely want to chill on the beach and do nothing else.
Sunrise is beautiful on coconut beach but sunset takes a few hours to get to. If you like utterly ridiculous service and attitude, please go here. So far, ok. This is not unique to this place though, goes for most of Cambodia.
I would skip Cambodia all together, because they treat you very bad and they expect you to pay European prices. Cambodia is not special, so go to Thailand or Vietnam or something instead. Nice Beach is a quite and relaxing little hotel with a fantastic restaurant, serving up fresh sea food feet away from your bungalow. At night you can swim with bioluminescence plankton!
The only down side is the communication with the boat company, which offers the only transport on and off the island. We had to last minute cancel our flight becuase of a miscommunication. We had a lovely, quite stay here.
