I loved my stay at Tricia's Seashell room! I thought it was an amazing value. The place is right on the beach with an amazing view of the ocean and you can't beat that. Plus, Tricia and her husband keep the beach and gardens beautiful. Even though it rained throughout most of my stay, one could sit on the porch chair or hammock and still take it all in. It's fairly rustic but Tricia is very accurate in her description of this and I actually loved the outdoor shower! Tricia was an amazing host from helping me find the best way to get to and from her place and other places to recommending things to do and people to do them with.
The village of Hopkins is still very "village" like and not at all touristy People were super friendly. The only thing I would ask for would be a toaster oven or microwave so that it would be possible to cook just a little. Thank you so much Tricia! The stay was just what I needed. My wife and I really enjoyed laying in our hammocks each morning, taking in the beautiful view of the ocean, and eating fresh oranges from the local fruit stands. Tricia and Doug were very hospitable and a joy to stay with.
Theres just something about a warm shower under the starry Belizean sky! We would definitely stay again with Tricia and Doug!! The perfect place to unwind and relax in paradise. Small, simple accomodation with direct access to the beach. Would definitely recommend! Tricia's spot is truly special. Everything you need, right on the beach.
The hammocks are the perfect place to relax and get out of the sun too! Dreaming about going back. We stayed with Tricia in Seashell for three days while visiting the nearby national parks and spending some time on the beach.
We absolutely loved it! The room was very clean with good amenities. I loved the outdoor shower, which has hot water. The location on the beach was perfect. The beach was clean and raked daily by Tricia and it was relaxing to just sit in the hammock or on the beach chairs. Tricia provides information and recommendations on nearby restaurants and things to do. She's very friendly and helpful. We could have stayed another week! I will definitely stay with Tricia again if I am back in Hopkins.
