Buy the book. Do not say buy the book. I have a busy life style with foster children and not much time for myself. You only have to keep certain principles in mind:. Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in he entered the Catholic Church.
Jimmy, how much did you lose over how much time? The first book link gives me an Amazon Browser Bug message. I assume it links to one of Atkins books. My mother, in her mid-fifties, went on Atkins with my father when he was diagnosed as diabetic. Atkins was quite bad for her cholesterol level, something to keep in mind when consulting a doctor. Your mother had an unusual experience. I think that Atkins can be done in a way that is, at least, less dangerous to cholesterol levels than one might think.
A few years back, when the diet was first gaining publicity, it was being sold by at least some journalists as a way to lose weight by eating all the butter, cheese, and meat that you want. When I heard about this, I tried the diet myself, and found that I could live on a diet of meat, cheese, eggs, and veggies and actually lose weight astonishing!
However, when I exercised, I found that I was rather sore, and when I would go off the diet and eat a sugary dessert, I would feel super-hyper your brain runs on carbohydrates. I actually think that the most beneficial form of low-carb eating involves eating a lot of vegetables, lean meat, and carbs that are metabolically difficult to break down.
