Hi guys. The wife managed to park her Spring Violet Mk6 Calypso car into a skip and made quite an impact. I've prepped the area and ready for filling, and popped to Halfrauds to grab some paint but the colour code listed on the plate refers to a green rather than the browny reddy purple. If we interpret it as G1 3, then either G1 which is a blue is the colour or G13 which doesnt exist. I phoned Ford who put me across to a local dealer who checked the number plate and told me it was indeed spring violet, but they don't have a colour code for it and try their specialist body shop dept.
Tried them and they were as helpful as a big wart on the forehead as they either don't know and won't admit it most likely or their story of not being allowed to give out the codes or sell paint to the public is true.
I reckon they don't know. I have scoured everywhere I can think of on-line for the code even ended up on an Aussie ford site that provided 4 codes for the european colour but none of them are correct! If you have a Calypso of a sort of browny reddy purpley colour, please please please have a quick look at the plate near your light and tell me what colour code you have.
Pretty please. Until I can get it fixed I have to get up at silly O'Clock to take the wife to work in my car. Alternatively, if you know the code or have a link, please tell me. Cheers buddy but not listed on there.
Driving me crazy. Thanks for the code, but just tried that, no joy. Halfords have been unusually helpful and mixed up a total of 4 different spring violets I've now found, but not one matches. These are the codes i know of for your colour, so that gives you 4 alternative shades straight away, now that g1 3 you mentioned, could that actually be the code R3 by any chance, might be an idea to look at your plate again to make sure, hope this helps.
