I have some friends going, and they are wondering if there are.. I could have taken my daughters on my last trip and I am sure they would have wanted to go to the disco I would have wanted to know.
I hope that if people were at the resort during that time-they would share what really happened. I read fear in that review! I meant and do mean, if that sort of thing happens then the information will get out, in any way manor or form. I wonder if other guests at the same time heard about this.
Sounds like echos of stories from Mexico. I hope this was an isolated incedence. His review was pretty upsetting. Why did they target him? We heard about the first brawl while we were there from some other guests that had teenage kids. Did not know anything about the second incident until we returned home and read about it here in TA. The Pueblo Estrella is open to the public. While it is out of the way, and the locals have to pay a toll to use the causeway, essentially anyone can get in there.
But sometimes some workers stay in the "worker's hotel" close to Barcelo overnight. Perhaps some from there came over to Pueblo? Maluszek, that is not accurate. Cubans can go to CSM even if they don't work there, for example to be a guess at an hotel, drop off a client taxi or even go out to one of the clubs.
But if the guy at the punto de control suspect that they are going there for some illegal activities selling stuff, prostitution, etc , he will not let them in. And they are really strict at the control so not many get in. But everytime I was at the disco at the pueblo which I admit was not that many times there were Cubans from the mainland who were not workers.
