The older sister managed to escape back to Argentina three months later, but the victim was forced to work as a prostitute for more than three decades, it is reported. The rescue operation was coordinated by the officers of the special force of the fight against crime in Bolivia after a tip off about the location of the woman.
The woman and the boy were sent to the office of rescue and assistance of victims of human trafficking to the city of Salta and then travelled to the city of Mar del Plata, where they were reunited with her family.
