This hotel was meant for single ppl or a married person looking to have a good ole' time with a mistress. I don't like to brag or exaggerate, but I've been to many places, many resorts where the service is 5-star, but this place is truly the worst resort I've been to. Listen to the reviews, unless you really want to waste your money and time on disgusting and crappy service. Saying that the service is medicore is being too nice, the service and food is definitely peasant-like.
Here's my detailed experience: As you drive up the hotel, you will notice the fallen crusts of paint on the exterior walls, half fallen rotten tin roof. Btw, that street that's across the hotel is an actual public street where the locals mostly prostitutes, pimps and drug dealers all gather around to spot on the vacationers. Here's the exciting part: in order for you to get to the buffet, theater, beach or anywhere, you have to cross that street. Even though there are hotel security guards guarding the street to prevent locals from entering the resort premises, they still seem to make their way in the hotel.
The staff and guards are all involved in getting locals prostitutes, pimps, whatever you wanna call them in order to get some money or commission from them. Don't believe me? I challenge anyone to go to the hotel and just sit in the lobby and I challenge anyone to go to the hotel and just sit in the lobby and watch the transactions pimping occur. Rush hour for these transactions occur during the hrs of pm. As you check in, the lobby is dark not dim with dark black and dirty white walls.
The cheap recycled sofas in the lobby are old torn up and wet. You will notice that these sofas are covered by another material to make it seem new and fresh, but be prepared to sit on them for a few hrs until your room is ready, bc they will always have an excuse that the room isn't ready. Take the time to walk and mentally prepare yourself for the worst vacation you are about to experience.
The curtains in the lobby are supposed to be white, but all the spiderwebs and dirt give the curtains a new shade of grey dirty eggshell color.
